The white balls will go down on the tee for a good cause on Friday at the NZME BNZ Charity Golf Tournament for Businesses on Friday.

Wanganui Chronicle has been running a businesses tournament for six years, with the 2018 edition seeing all proceeds go to Plunket Wanganui.

So far 25 teams of five players are confirmed for the ambrose tournament over 18 holes on the Belmont Links at Wanganui Golf Club.

Last year's winners were Eastown Timber, who will be taking part again.

Registration on the day is at 10am, with the shotgun start at 11am.

Dinner at the clubrooms will be held at around 7pm, following dinner and the charity auction which will include signed Hurricanes rugby jerseys and a two-day deer hunt through Wanganui Safaris.

Teams can still enter the tournament by contacting the Wanganui Chronicle offices.
