Whanganui people can vote for their favourite local entrant in the New Zealand Cafe of the Year awards.

Whanganui people can vote for their favourite local entrant in the New Zealand Cafe of the Year awards.

What do you love about your favourite cafe?

Maybe it's the way they cater to your decaf soy caramel latte addiction without raising an eyebrow. Or that they're happy for you to bring your dog along when you get your caffeine fix. Or their super-fabulous staff who are always welcoming and remember your regular order.

Three Whanganui cafes are in the running for the New Zealand Cafe of the Year award and the public can vote for their favourite.

Ambrosia Delicatessen, Element Cafe and Restaurant and The Yellow House have entered the competition for New Zealand's best cafe. They are also in the running for the regional People's Choice award.

The 34 regional People's Choice winners will be announced in December and the cafe with the highest number of public votes will be named the National People's Choice award winner in February. The 2018 Meadow Fresh Cafe of the Year will also be announced in February.
