Keith St School pupils are a caring community and they have been performing acts of kindness all month.
Principal Linda Ireton said school participated in the Wattie's Cans for Good week from November 14 - 18 and donated all the cans they collected to the Salvation Army foodbank.
"At KeithStreet School our values are Ākonga - be a learner, Manaakitanga - be respectful, Haumarutanga - be responsible, and Whakaora - be safe.
"We have been looking closely at an aspect of Manaakitanga - 'treat people right' through acts of kindness."
Children in year 2 and 3 in room 17 at Keith St wanted to do something for the people of Kaikoura so they designed and drew cards to send to children Kaikoura schools.
