The first day of the school holidays got off to a fun start at Trafalgar Square shopping centre in Whanganui on Monday.
There are free activities for children throughout the holidays with a jungle theme happening.
John Martin said there are jungle mask-making workshops every day from 11am and children
can then have there photos taken against the jungle background.
"After that they can have a go at the limbo lizard and winners get the chance to win a barrel of monkeys game," he said.
Mr Martin said the first day was going well and children made some interesting masks during the workshops.
