About a dozen protesters greeted Paula Bennett as she arrived for a meeting in Whanganui this morning. The Social Housing and State Services Minister was speaking to a breakfast gathering of the Whanganui Chamber of Commerce at the Collegiate Motor Inn on Liverpool Street.
The protest was mainly in opposition tothe Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, though there was a lone beneficiary complaining loudly about social welfare. Police were present but there were no serious incidents.
