Children at Wanganui Hospital can pick up a colouring book thanks to a local woman donating art supplies to the children's ward.
Tina Duxfield and her daughter spent some time in the hospital and thought art supplies would have made the time better for them. She and her children visited the ward last week to bring their donations of colouring books, pens and activity books.
Children's ward clinical nurse manager Janene Louwrens says it brightens the patients' day, distracts them from their illness and helps them to recover.
