Pacific Rose Bowl Festival 2023

The Pacific Rose Bowl Festival has come of age this year celebrating its 21st anniversary. The festival is held at Rogers Rose Garden in the Hamilton Gardens and as part of the festival, visitors are invited to cast their vote for the Rose of the Year. Usually, rose trials are judged by a panel of experts, instead of the public, which makes the Hamilton trial unique. Tauranga rose breeder Rob Somerfield has won the Pacific Rose Bowl for the second year in a row, this year for Skyla Rose. He has a history of cleaning up at the awards: This year was the eighth time he took out the top spot.
