A Givealittle page has been established for the children of Bulls couple Joanne and Kevin Hartley.

The couple's children, Leigh, 26, William, 21, and Anna, 17, have been struck by the double tragedy of their mother's death last week and the disappearance of their father in February.

Mr Hartley, 54, has been missing from the Scotts Ferry beach area since February 16.

Police announced Mrs Hartley's death last Thursday but were not prepared to disclose the circumstances.

Family friend Angel Fulljames established the page and describes the Hartleys as "a much loved family from Bulls in Rangitikei who would do anything for anyone.

"Joanne and Kevin were new grandparents to wee baby Lucas who was the light of their lives. They were amazing parents and friends.

"Anyone who has met them will understand the impact they made."

Almost $10,000 had been donated to the fund by Tuesday evening and the money will be given to the family to spend as they see fit. The Help the Hartley/Hanson Family During a Double Tragedy page is open for donations until April 15.

Mr Hartley was last seen driving a quad bike from Parewanui Road, Scotts Ferry, towards the bombing-range tower in Santoft Forest. A large-scale search ensued.

Yesterday police said Mr Hartley was still missing and they were in a limited ongoing search phase.
