Three men have been arrested following the aggravated robbery of a liquor store in Waverley.

A police spokesman said the store worker was not injured in Tuesday's robbery. Tobacco, cash and alcohol were taken.

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man who appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Wednesday charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of cannabis and cultivation of cannabis.

Two men, aged 22 and 17, will appear in Whanganui District Court on Thursday, March 15 charged with aggravated robbery.

Police inquiries into the aggravated robbery are continuing.
