Organisers estimated over 1100 competitors took part in the Carters Paihia run/walk on Sunday which drew people from throughout Northland.
Harry Linford (Whangarei) continued his good run of form by winning the third event in the 2012 Sport Northland run/walk Series his third win from three starts completing the 8kmcourse in a time of 26min 52sec.
Anna Fischer won the women's field in 31min.
A medical student based at Kawakawa, Fisher is also a former Auckland secondary school 1500m champ and Wellington half marathon winner. Northland's 14-year-old 800m record holder Amanda Still (Whangarei) was second.
James Gordon, from Whangarei, won the AvantiPlus bike and Raewyn Unkovich took home the iPod touch from Gen-i.
