NETBALL

The Waipapakauri Netball Club has three senior teams playing in the Thursday night competition under lights this year, and and one junior team.

Waipap netball stalwart Des Austen said it was really great to see Waipap growing club spirit again and seeing previous members return, and with their babies as well.

"It's been eight years since Waipap had a junior team and that's thanks to the hard work of Raewyn Malmo (our president) and Chantal Curel. Go Waipap!"

All Mangonui senior sides begin their respective campaigns in the President's Round tonight following the opening two weeks of grading competition. The draw for tonight's games was as follows.
