Kaitaia teenager Te Amo-haere Rudolph needs her friends at the moment as she battles a cancer she thought she had seen the last of when she was a pre-schooler - and she has plenty to fall back on.
Some of those friends are preparing for a 12-hour 'spinathon' at Kaitaiagym Club Physical, starting at 6am on Saturday March 14, and anyone who would like to saddle up alongside them will be very welcome.
Teams of four to 12 are asked to pay $100 per bike, and will be expected to keep the wheels turning until 6pm. Gym members and non-members will be equally welcome, but are asked to register at Club Physical, phone (09) 408-2000.
All proceeds will help the Rudolph family meet the costs of Te Amo-haere's treatment, including travel between Kaitaia and Auckland.
