NZ-based guitarist Mark Mazengarb, who has brought out several acts from the US in recent years, is promoting the tour.
“Like a lot of people, I discovered The Petersens online through their brilliant YouTube videos. To me, you can’t beat the timeless combination of strong vocal harmonies, good songs, and instrumental mastery. I’ve really tried to find venues that will match the music and create that intimate setting that this music fits so well.”
During their New Zealand tour, The Petersens will be performing a mix of traditional bluegrass and country songs, gospel tunes, popular cover songs, and original compositions. Each performance showcases the impressive musicianship and arrangements that complement their beautiful harmonies. Their setlist is sure to include fan favourites and heartfelt new material, making each show a memorable experience.
In addition to their musical talent, The Petersens are known for their engaging stage presence and genuine connection with the audience. Their shows are filled with stories from their lives and travels and a time during the show where the band takes questions from the audience, adding a personal touch that makes each concert feel like an intimate gathering with friends.
Genres: Gospel, bluegrass, country, folk. The Petersens will be in Whangārei at Forum North on March 1 and in Kerikeri at the Turner Centre on March 2. They will also be playing in other parts of the country and tickets and more information can be found on www.iticket.co.nz.
