A successful year for the Northland College Military Academy officially ended last week with the 'walk out' at the college. Speakers included Sally Macauley QSM, JP (Far North District Council), principal Jim Luders, Northland College old boy and board of trustees chairman Ken Rintoul, and Constable Rob Rakete, youth development project manager.

The programme included tug-o-war between Bravo and Charlie companies, a senior military drill display, a Year 10 Pathway display and a haka by limited service volunteers, while Constable Rakete conducted the official inspection.

Awards were presented for peers' choice, most improved student, top student, top in drill, most improved in drill and top syndicate, along with promotions. The day ended with guests visiting the military academy area and lunch. Registrations have already been taken for next year.
