Whoever wins Far North's Got Talent 2018, 6-year-old Danielle Maria has already made her mark.
Danielle, one of the youngest to audition for FNGT in its three-year history, turned it on for the judges at Mangonui, along with big sisters Isabella and Charlotte, while proud parents Rebecca and Carl lookedon.
And she had firm plans for what she would do with the prize money.
"I'm going to buy a chihuahua," she said.
The Mangonui audition was the second of four. The first was at Broadwood, with Te Kao School having its turn at 5.30pm on Friday, June 29, and winding up at Kaitaia College at 5pm on Friday, July 6.
The #FNGT2018 crew, accompanied by youth from Arotahi AIA, are travelling to each venue to give as many children, youth and families as possible the chance to participate.
The auditions are open to the public, admission by gold coin, and every act is posted on the FNGT Facebook page (where auditions may also be submitted).
Online voting will open on the morning of Saturday July 7, for that weekend only. The judges will choose their top eight acts, with two more to be chosen by votes. The 10 finalists will then have six weeks to prepare for the grand finale at Te Ahu on August 25.
