A person is dead and a second has moderate injuries following a crash involving one car in the Far North last night, police say.

Police and other emergency services are at the scene on Rawene Rd, near State Highway 12.

There are no road closures, but motorists should expect delays, police said in a statement just before midnight.

Motorists should delay travelling in the area, if possible, police said.
