LEFT ALONE: Tom Norton (Bream Bay College) enjoys pumping surf at Ahipara last month, during the third and final leg of a series run to choose the Northland scholastics surfing team.

A number of the athletes competing in this years series also regularly compete at a national level on the Surfing NZ Junior Series.

The 2015 Northland Surfing Scholastics team is, U14, girls: Grace Pevats (WGHS), boys: Max Brunker (WBHS), Oscar Harper (WBHS), Tom Parker (Huanui College); U16, girls: Billie Scott (WGHS), boys: Jamahl Moselen (Raglan Area School/ Northland), Kalani Hansen (Kaitaia College), Tom Norton (Bream Bay College), Nubby Critchfield (Rodney College); and U18 boys: Sergio Hansen (Kaitaia College), Matt Jensen (Bream Bay College), Kohl Mase (Pompellier Catholic College). Team coach Jason Ruddell and manager Tony Baker.
