There were three

As we are contracted to Fulton Hogan for removal of stock on state highways, I would like to respond to this article (What cows?) on October 1.

The police may have received their call at 4am on Saturday September 28; we received ours at 4.20am. As we live in Pamapuria it took us all of 20 minutes to find three cows on the side of the road and place them in a paddock.

Why anyone was told that people would have to travel from Whangarei to attend to this call is beyond me.

We have two utes with two Animal Control officers, one in Kaitaia and one in Kaikohe. Plus Fulton Hogan has people on call in most areas from Whangarei north, so I cannot understand why this article was so inaccurate.
