Power charges crisis

Auckland has a housing crisis, whereas we in the Far North have a power crisis.

We are being smoke-screened by clever media propaganda accusing those in poverty of spending up large on gambling, smoking, drugs and alcohol, when the true underlying cause, common to all, is the insane power charges.

For our region you must factor in abhorrent electricity charges as a major cause of poverty and extreme hardship for many Far North households.

There is no respite to the annual price hikes, and with electricity companies wanting to increase their power prices by up to 80 per cent over the next year, expect hundreds more families to hit rock bottom.

We need strong representation to oppose the tyrannical power companies who are heaping suffering and despair on households and businesses in our region.

I'm up for it. If you are too, please contact me on harkobrown@gmail.com Together we can fight the power company tyranny.
