Save My son works for Top Energy doing vegetation control. I've read Top Energy's restructure proposal and this is my 10 cents worth.
If you reduce frontline staff (linemen/vegetation control) then power cuts will increase and be longer as fewer staff are able to respond to outages.
Trees will
still grow into the lines, yet in Kaitaia two staff instead of three will be expected to keep up the maintenance. Really? I don't think so!
As a community-owned trust, Top Energy should be directed to maintain frontline jobs that keep the lights on.
