Congratulations to Doug Klever and his supporters, a few surfers among them, for "drawing a line in the sand" regarding the degradation of our beach at Ahipara and committing themselves to the on-going care and protection of this ecosystem in the voluntary roles of kaitiaki.
Their resolve willbe tested again this summer, but with legislative and community backing we can bring about a change in driving habits on this stretch of beach, and hopefully all the way around Tauroa Point.
