Had enough

Firstly the state of the north end of Cable Bay. We are sick of people leaving kina and other shellfish in the carpark and grassed area. How many people have stepped on a kina spike?

We are also picking up lots of rubbish, so another bin by the new picnic table would be good.

All of this end of Cable Bay needs to be fenced off to stop vehicles ruining the natural beach and disturbing the dotterels nesting there.

In Brisbane gas barbecues ($1 per half hour, no fire hazard) and water are provided. These facilities are well used and respected.

Secondly is the concern that commercial fishing in Doubtless Bay is destroying our fish stocks. Land-based fishing has become a sad waste of time.

People interested in joining an action group should contact Sunny on (0204) 016-9503, 16 Stratford Drive, Cable Bay.
