Kevin Briscoe, Lillian Wells and Clyde Bull took first place in last week’s Kaitāia RSA Hump Day Triples bowls tournament.

Latest bowls news from Kaitāia RSA:

On Wednesday, October 18, 12 teams from Houhora, Coopers Beach and the RSA, participated in our Hump Day Triples bowls tournament at Kaitāia RSA.

Although the weather forecast wasn’t great, the day turned out okay with plenty of action on the greens.

Winners on the day were:

1st: Kevin Briscoe, Lillian Wells and Clyde Bull with 3.5 wins, 19 ends and 39 points.

Val Hall, Pam Naylor and Suzanne Taungahihifo came second in the RSA bowls event

2nd: Val Hall, Pam Naylor and Suzanne Taungahihifo, 3 wins, 18 ends and 38 points.

3rd: Marty Doak, Adele Gardner and Freda May 3 wins, 16 ends and 29 points.

The Lucky Dip Chocolates went to Geoff Laird, Bev Shand and Val Herzog.

Special thanks go to Razia for the kitchen, Allan for the match, Kevin for the green and Lillian for the raffles.

The next Kaitāia RSA tournament is the Major Titanium Building Solutions Drawn Fours for RSA teams only, although other clubs can enter a full team. It’s $60 per team or $15 per person, five generous prizes, lunch provided, fun guaranteed.
