Another year of gymnastics classes are all ready to go at the Kaitaia Gymnastic Club beginning from next Monday, February 9, for Term 1. Session times for the coming year are as follows.

Pre-school, Tumble Tots (advanced pre-school gymnastics): Tuesdays at 12.30pm with caregivers required to work one-on-one with their pre-schooler; Playgym for preschoolers: Wednesdays 1-2pm, Thursday 9.30 to 10.30am; Playgym for early childhood groups: under-12s Thursday 10.30 to 11.30am, all other early childhood ages 1-2pm (pre-school groups need to book in for this).

School age recreational, Kiwi Gymfun and Gymskills sessions are held on Wednesdays from 3.30 to 4.30pm. Competitive beginners, junior girls pre-competitive 3.30 to 4.30pm on Mondays or Thursdays; junior boys pre-competitive Tuesdays 3.30 to 4.30pm. Competitive, girls: Mondays and/ or Thursday 4-6pm; boys: Tuesdays 3.45-5.45pm.

Any whanau willing to help head coach Jenni with the pre-competitive classes will be welcomed and encouraged to come and join the junior gymnasts for an hour a week.

Club officials also advised they were keen to hear from anyone in the community willing to give some time once or twice a week to assist, and reminded parents to re-enrol their children before leaving them.

Other activities run by the KGC include children's parties or gatherings with a difference (with bookings taken through the year for these), and pre-booking asked for from schools or groups. The Kaitaia Gymnastic Club gymnasium is located at 8a Church Road, Kaitaia (the lane on the left, just over the bridge on Church Rd).
