Far North St John recognised for two centuries of service

Well over two centuries of service was recognised when Far North St John service awards were presented earlier this month.

"It was a fantastic opportunity to spend an evening recognising the service and achievements of some of the members of our team," territory manager (Far North) Ben Lockie said.

"The 205 years' combined service amongst the awards recipients shows a huge dedication to the Far North community. A mix of paid and volunteer staff, all the team have one thing in common, and that's a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives."

Awards were presented by St John district operations manager Tony Devanney as follows.

Three years - Mike Brott and Sallie Lakin (Doubtless Bay); Bert Bates, Tasha Grylls, Kamera Raharaha and Charlotte Tahitahi-Matiu (Far North); Sam Newman, Danelle Smith, Moira Rogers, Jane Lovich, James Clark, Brett Dormer and Esther Heka (Kaitaia); Wiremu Livingstone, Lance Halliday and Mel Uren (Kawakawa); Sue McBain, Simon Reed, Kim Harris, Jodie Urlich, Cherisse Druett, Haana Barker, Kate Davies and Ken James (Kerikeri); Simon Namana and Vicky Houry (Paihia); Shelley Arlidge and Shan Calcott (Russell).
Six years - Theresa Mason (Kaitaia), Marleen Parata (Kawakawa) and Matt Papera (Kerikeri).

Nine years - Bruce Jackson (Doubtless Bay); Christine Clark, (Kaitaia); Stephen Boys, Rhonda King, Sue Moore and Hilda Mulder (Kerikeri); Denise Van Rooyen (Paihia).
Twelve years - June Jackson (Doubtless Bay), Ina Schutze (Paihia) and Janet Planet (Russell).

Twenty-seven years - Dave Grimshaw (Kaitaia).
