Tohu printing
Kaitāia Library is hosting a tohu printing workshop tomorrow .
A tohu is a Māori term for a sign, mark, symbol, or token that acts as an indicator, omen, or guide, and Wednesday’s workshop explores tohu as a form of identity and expression. Drawing inspiration from tūpuna Māori who used tohu (symbols) to sign documents, participants will explore who they are and how identity can be communicated visually. The workshop is at the library, in the Te Ahu banquet room, from 12am to 2pm.
