The finalists for this year's Northland dairy industry awards have been named, and the last round of the judging process has begun.

The six Dairy Trainee of the Year finalists were assessed on Monday, with judges from Auckland and Waikato due to finalise Share Farmer of the Year and Dairy Manager of the Year contenders today.

The finalists include share farmer Peter Giesbers and Josiah Shaw (Kaikohe), dairy manager Nick Rotgans (Okaihau), dairy trainee Poutama Toto (Okaihau) and Jesse Rose Insley (Kaitaia).
The awards will be presented at a dinner in Whangarei on March 8.
