Seven Kaitaia College students represented a Kaitaia gym when they competed at Teen Gauntlet Crossfit Competition in Auckland on April 12 with the following achieved.
The performances and results will contribute towards the gymnasts' world rankings although these are not available until June 1 when recalibrations have been done, advised trainer Hine Lum, on behalf of Team Infinite Scope.
She also stressed there will be no Crossfit Games in the US later this year - contrary to an earlier announcement - due to conflicting agendas between organisers and sponsors.
In other news, six of the Kaitaia team will again represent their gym in downtown Auckland this Saturday, when they take part in the Big 6 Crossfit HPU Playoffs 5 teams event.
Part of the event will be used as a fundraiser for Cure for Kids, so any donations towards this cause would be welcome at http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/InfiniteScopeGym/.
