It wasn't the biggest cattle sale that has been held at the Maungakaramea sale yards but there was still some good bidding. Local farmer Maurice Brownlee helped in the yards and said the annual spring cattle sale would see the yards full with up to 1400 head of cattle on September 14. Saturday's sale was also captured by a New Zealand film crew as well as Northern Advocate photographer Tania Whyte.
