Bay competitionKotuuku Hokianga Kura beat Taheke in Bay of Islands netball in Kaikohe on Saturday to progress to the A grade final on Saturday August 23. The result leaves Taheke and Taiamai Ohaeawai Red to battle it out this weekend for the right to meet Kotuuku.

In other results from last Saturday, Taiamai Ohaeawai Black beat BOI College Seniors and Hokianga Sports Club beat Moerewa Tigers in the prem grade, allowing Hokianga SC to go straight through to the finals and the Tigers and Ohaeawai Black having to contest the remaining finals berth this weekend.

In the same situation are D-grade semifinalists, Datz Us vs BOI College Year 10, both fighting for the right to meet Northland College A in the final on Saturday week.

Mangonui senior roundupThe Mangonui Netball Centre senior teams concluded their Sponsorship Round campaign last Thursday where, with the shortened format, matches were reported as being close and exciting.

Taking out the Premier 1 grade was Extons, who were unbeaten in the round though several of their games came down to only a 1 to 2 goal difference; while placing second (on goals scored) were Kaitaia Central Pukemiro, followed by Blue House Dolphins then Waipap Stingers. In the Premier 2 grade, KC UNISS took out the top spot unbeaten throughout the round and scoring an impressive 107 goals, as Fusion secured the runnersup spot with Aupouri Hokainuku coming in third.
