After an exciting season, a champion may not be found in the Adam Blair Cup after the final was cancelled for the second consecutive week.
Yesterday's final between Dargaville High School and Combined College, made up of Taipa Area School and Abundant Life, Kaitaia, was called off due to severe weather warnings from Cyclone Cook.
Rugby League Northland General Manager Duane Fyfe said the cancellation could mean there will be no final at all.
"We had to cancel the final as the Far North principals received severe weather warnings and did not want their players to travel and risk not being able to return home," he said.
"Playing of the final in the coming weeks is not likely due to the secondary school sports windows but both sides are keen to play so we are seeing what can be done."
