Kerikeri Christmas Parade
Age was no barrier to victory in Friday night's Kerikeri Christmas parade, when Kerikeri Retirement Village captured the prize for best community float with a van, mobility scooters and wheelchairs decked out in summer theme. Parade marshal Jim Phillips, of the Kerikeri Lions Club, said the tally of 35 floats was down on 2009, but that was more than made up for by the higher quality of entries this year.
