Kaeo BP hit
A car stolen from Rawene on Thursday was used in the burglary of the Kaeo BP the following morning. Police say about 2.30am on Friday thieves smashed their way into the service station and attempted to take cigarettes and cash but were not successful. No one has been arrested in relation to the burglary.
Burglaries in Kaikohe
Police say CCTV footage has given them strong leads following a spate of burglaries in Kaikohe.
Two properties and the Kaikohe Bus Company on Mangakahia Rd were targeted by thieves overnight Friday along with Vault Cafe on Broadway Kaikohe. If anyone saw any suspicious activity in the early hours of Saturday morning, or know anything about the burglaries, they should call police on 09 430 4500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
