“As someone from YMP said to me last night, they will grow from that loss to GMC Green last Saturday, and last night’s result was a step in that direction.”
In the other match last night, the Green Machine beat Paikea 6-1.
“The final score does not reflect the first half of the game, because GMC Green were up only 2-1 at halftime,” Scragg said.
“But in that third quarter, GMC came out strong and scored four goals, then cruised home in the final quarter.
“At the moment they are the form team in that women’s competition and will be hard to beat from here.”
The Super Saturday programme of five games was to start at 12.30pm this afternoon, with the final game at 7.30pm.
