GISBORNE’S Stephen Sheldrake has added more international successes to his competitive career list, this time at the ITU Multisport World Championships Festival in Canada.

Sheldrake collected age group titles in the aquathlon and the aquabike at the 10-day champs held in Penticton, British Columbia.

He won the 40 to 44 years men’s division and was 15th overall in the aquathlon, which comprised a 1-kilometre swim and 5km run.

He finished just three seconds ahead of the 40-44yrs runner-up.

Sheldrake not only won his age group in the aquabike — a 3km swim and 120km cycle — he was first across the line overall, 2 minutes 10 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
