“Their links through court improve with each outing.”
YMP struggled against Claydens Waikohu last week and just sneaked through at the end.
“I expect tomorrow night’s game will be close, and both teams will provide a good display of netball skills,” Beale said.
Whangara coach Ronnie Martin said they would aim to produce the same sort of result the Silver Ferns produced on Monday morning.
“We want the win and the points to not only stay in the top four, but press for second place, which would give us more of a chance to make the final,” Martin said.
Whangara sit third on the points table, with 28, two points adrift of second-placed Taste One High School Old Girls.
“I believe we can achieve second place, and second would be better than third.”
Martin said her team had come on well in the past month.
“It’s taken a wee while but they are starting to gel really well.
“We were lacking in midcourt, but Melissa Mackey-Huriwai has been playing well at centre, and Sandy Porter is back to her best at the shooting end.”
The match starts at 7.30pm.
In the earlier match, at 6pm, Champers Horouta Gold take on Gisborne Girls’ High School Senior A.
The students will still be buzzing over their thrilling come-from-behind draw with Ritana Senior A on Saturday.
“Both Horouta and Girls’ High have shown improvement this round,” Beale said.
“Even though they are sitting at the bottom of the grade, they have pushed higher-seeded teams.”
They have enjoyed a win apiece in previous games this season.
“But Girls’ High played really well on Saturday against Ritana,” Beale said.
“Horouta Gold will need to bring their top game.”
