One of the largest groups for lesson sessions in years has boosted the ranks of bridge players for Gisborne.

Nineteen new players received their certificates after a 10-week course run by Gisborne Bridge Club stalwart Jean Bennett with the assistance of other club members.

Club president Lorraine Varga thanked Jean Bennett and her team of helpers and welcomed the new members to the club.
