Popular rugby league columnist and sports  blogger Dane Clarke has named three Warriors and a Gisborne-born prop in his “Most Improved Line-up of 2023 so far”.

The 17-strong NRL list posted on Clarkey’s Rugby League Column features Warriors Charnze Nicoll-Klodstad at fullback, Shaun Johnson at halfback and Addin Fonua-Blake as one of the props.

The other prop listed is Gisborne-born Gold Coast Titan Moeaki Fotuaika, whose family shifted to Brisbane when he was seven.

Sixth-placed Warriors  are in NRL action  tonight against the 15th-placed Dragons in Wollongong (10pm kick-off).
