Heavy Equipment United clinched the Eastern League women’s football title with a 1-0 victory over Riverina at Harry Barker Reserve on Sunday.
It was virtually a final as both sides went into the game with the same league records — 10 wins, one draw and no losses, having drawn theirround 1 meeting.
United had a better goal differential but it didn’t come down to that, Sarah Graham scoring the title decider.
United have their sights on the treble. They start the Braybrook Cup knockout this weekend and will meet Gisborne Laundry Services Riverina again at the end of the season to decide the O’Rourke Shield.
United won the Eastern League division 1 men’s title on Saturday.
