Region 7 youth representative Irie Eyles scored his first 180 — a high start — in the first leg of his singles game against his grandfather Tipi Eyles in Brezz’n Darts Club Tuesday night competition this week.

Irie Eyles was playing for Tao Matarau against Tigers, a match Tigers won 12-3.

On the boards next door, Rhinos’ Jono Griffiths, Region 7 senior men’s captain, bagged two 180s, and one of them was also a high start.

Match of the night was the clash between Ruahine and Stallions. Both teams were vying for a spot in the A Grade competition.

Stallions, B Grade champions for the past two seasons, took it to Ruahine, winning the pairs section 6-3.

However, Stallions’ sealed the match with wins to Chris Beattie, 3-2 against Chris Te Moni, and Tom Hindmarsh, 3-1 against Johnny Smith.
