TWO new teams added to the interest around the start of the Brezz’n Club and Association winter darts league this week.

In addition, the weekly competition night has shifted from Tuesday to Thursday.

A great turnout and plenty of laughter and banter across the oche were features of the first night of the new season’s competition.

Only nine teams were confirmed as starters but a 10th — The Waihape Whanau — came along to see what the atmosphere was like.

By the end of the night, mum Jennifer had spoken to the organisers and the family team were in next week’s draw.

The club looks ahead to a great year with plenty of 180 starts and big finishes.

Covid-19 is still on people’s minds, and members are glad to be able to play the game they love.

Two new teams — Whanau Magic and The Waihape Whanau — are extended a warm welcome, as are all new, old and returning players.
