DARTS

RHINOS turned up the heat against Tigers in Brezz’n Darts Club’s Tuesday night competition.

In the first set of singles, Tigers won the first two games. Toby Ratapu defeated Kayne Arahanga 2-0 and Axel Campbell defeated Junior Akurangi 2-0.

Rhinos won the next three games, Tyson Eyles defeating Tipi Eyles 2-0, Joe Kiri snr defeating Shiloh Henry 2-0, and Hayden Kiri defeating Willie Edwards 2-1.

Tigers’ Teretiu Te Moananui defeated Errol Tamihana 2-1 to make the score 3-3 heading into the pairs.

Rhinos won six of the nine pairs games to lead 9-6 going into the reverse singles.

Rhinos turned the heat right up in the last section, winning five of the six reverse singles to take the tie 14-7.

The club extends best wishes to club members competing in the New Zealand Darts Council national tournament in Motueka in the South Island.
