The mighty Tūranga Mana Wāhine will take the field for the last time this year tomorrow.

They take on Thames Valley Vixens at the Oval — kick-off at 12.30pm.

Last weekend the Wāhine turned on a try-scoring clinic in their 73-3 win over Ngāti Porou East Coast women 73-3 at Rugby Park.

Tries were scored from all parts of the paddock in the frenzy, including a double to first five Maia Rickard.

The Wāhine have had a full season with games against Eastern Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay Development, King Country, Wairarapa-Bush, and Ngāti Porou East Coast, with Thames Valley Vixens last on their list.

Wāhine co-coach Lenny Ferris says they have a few players unavailable for tomorrow against what is expected to be a strong Thames Valley side.

“Thames Valley are unbeaten (this season) so it's going to be a very tough game for our ladies,” Ferris says.

“We still have a very strong squad and an effective game play that the ladies have bought into, so it should be a very good game.”

Support for ladies is paramount and Ferris urges people to get down to the Oval to cheer on the Wāhine.

“We are at home so the coaches encourage everyone to come down to the Oval to support the team,” Ferris said.

“After the hype and the big effort the ladies put in against NPEC, we want to follow it up with another strong performance to finish the season.”
