The popular annual TRYathlon was based at Churchill Park for the first time and culminated in a spot prize draw and special awards for participants.
Participants head for the transition area at the end of the swim leg of the Gisborne Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon this morning. Ahead of them is the cycle leg, then run to the finish line at Churchill Park. Every youngster received a medal acknowledging their efforts in this non-competition event although no doubt there were plenty of duels for bragging rights among friends, classmates and family members.
