Kevin Kennedy's good form continued with victory in the President's Trophy handicap snooker competition at the Cosmopolitan Club.

The trophy is an event for winners and runners-up in competitions over 2022.

Twelve players competed in four sections in a best-of-three-frames format.

Among those who qualified for the quarterfinals were the two women in the field — Te Rina Hawkins and Katch McLatchie.

That was as far as they got as Wayne Tautau, Larry Robinson, Bill Raggett and Kennedy progressed to the last four.

Tautau defeated Robinson 2-0 in their semifinal while Kennedy beat Raggett 2-0.

In a well-contested final, Kennedy came out on top 2-1.

Meanwhile, Hawkins and McLatchie were the top two in the open women's handicap tournament played as a three-frame round-robin.
