The Gisborne Trampoline Club's top trampolinists and tumblers are poised to qualify for international competition next year.

Lily Arnold was named the best all-round trampolinist of the year at the club's end-of-year prizegiving.

“She's very dedicated to trampolining and hardly misses a training session,” coach Doug Callahan said.

“She helps me coach.”

Callahan said Arnold would be pushing to qualify for Australian or Indo-Pacific competitions next year at sub-junior international level (14 and under).

Lily Rolls and Capria Tamatea were named the club's best all-round tumblers.

“I couldn't split them,” Callahan said.

“They're both dedicated and want to train all the time.”

Rolls is eyeing international competition at the sub-junior level and Tamatea at youth level (12 and under).

The Gisborne club will host the first nationals qualifier of the year at the ElectriNet Sports Centre on February 28. About 150 trampolinists and tumblers are expected to compete.
