BREA Low and Hannah Scholefield ended their Gisborne Trampoline Club season the best possible way, named joint winners of the Best All Rounder Cup.

“They’re both off to university next year but that’s not why they won the club’s top award. They won it on merit and I couldn’t separate them,” said head coach Doug Callahan.

“They’ve both been fantastic members of the club, both always competing to the best of their abilities and both winning numerous national and regional titles.

“Brea represented New Zealand at the Indo-Pacific champs and Hannah ran all our birthday parties at the club.

“Whenever someone wanted to have a party, Hannah organised everything and we had nothing but positive feedback from the parents and kids who came to the club for the parties.”

Low, who is off to Wellington to study business, joined the club when she was 10.

Scholefield, who took up the sport four years ago, is heading to Palmerston North to study radiology.

“We’re going to miss them both,” Callahan said. “They coach our younger competitors and have a fantastic rapport with the kids, getting the best out of them.

“As well as doing tramp, double mini and synchro, Hannah has added power-tumbling and is looking forward to coming back in June for the Island champs when we will have our new air track installed.

“It will be here in January. It’s two metres wide and 25 metres long, and is going to be a great addition to the club.”
