Eastland Kart Club went a little different for its best pairs meeting on Sunday.

The “Backwards Bash” saw drivers race in the opposite direction on the Te Maanga Rd track, which they seemed to enjoy.

It was also decided that the adult drivers, as well as the kids, do timed laps and the pairs were worked out from these results.

To make it fair on all drivers, each had a front, middle and back grid start over three heats.

The fastest lap of the day was 21.928 seconds clocked by Ian McGrory, while Kolten Irvine’s 25.477 was best of the kids.
