Gisborne Harrier Club member Steve Morrow had a top 10 finish at the New Zealand Cross Country and Relay Championships in Taupo on Saturday.

Morrow was seventh out of 18 competitors in the master men’s 45 to 49 years age group category.

He completed the 8000 metres race at Spa Thermal Park in 29 minutes 12 seconds.

Waikato/Bay of Plenty’s Steve Rees-Jones won the division in 27.07.

Another Gisborne harrier, Callum Hawkins, was 30th out of 44 in the under-18 men’s age group.

He clocked 21.57 for the 6000m race won by Canterbury’s Angus Sevier in 19.01.
