Tigers captain John White won all his games as his team beat Kennels in the final of the Tūranganui-a-Kiwa Darts Association competition at the RSA on Thursday night.

Kennels skipper Chris Stevens got his team off to a winning start but White then beat well-performed first-year player CJ Lewis-Brown to make it 1-1.

Tigers’ Lucas Groenewald beat Te Maipi Tuhi for 2-1 and Tracey Te Kira’s win over Bobby Brown made it 3-1.

Stevens pulled one back with victory against Te Kira, and Lewis-Brown won to level it 3-3.

Tigers won the next two games - White beat Brown and Groenewald defeated Stevens - for a 5-3 lead.
